Kristin graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor's in Animal Science specializing in Equine reproduction, training, and management. She bred, trained, and showed American Paint Horses and also was working on developing a new breed of chickens called Showgirls. When Kristin found out that they would be having a little boy, they decided to sell their horses and other critters and move back to her hometown of Midland, TX. After Tanner was born, it quickly became apparent that he was very allergic to dogs. Kristin was missing the horse showing scene, and her husband wanted a new hunting prospect, so they began searching for a puppy. They needed something that could live in the house and not bother their children's allergies.....so they soon purchased their first poodle "Izzy". She is a silver beige female who came to them from Kansas. They fell in love with the breed and soon purchased their second poodle....a brown and white parti who they named "Tucker". They also welcomed into their family a beautiful brown and white Parti female named "Dixie"......and thus KrisKen Poodles was born. Their name comes from the combination of Kristin's first and last name (Kristin Kenley).

Although we have a kennel area, KrisKen Poodles is not "A Kennel" Our dogs have free run of our 3 1/2 acres and go in and out of the house as they choose.....when we have to confine them for short times such as when a female is in heat and we don't want her bred, or if we will be in town for errands or appointments all day....we don't put them in crates anymore....we have a 60X30 insulated, heated/cooled shop that has runs for them.....they have doggie doors out to covered exercise runs.

EVERY DOG WE OWN IS ON OUR SITE! WE DO NOT HIDE ANYTHING AND WHAT YOU SEE ON THIS SITE IS WHAT LIFE IS LIKE AT OUR HOUSE!!! We do not claim to only have a few dogs and have dozens......we do not claim our dogs live in the house and really keep them in Crates 24/7 or secluded in kennels away from our family. WHAT YOU SEE HERE ON THESE PAGES IS HONEST AND NOT JUST A BUNCH OF PRETTY PICTURES PUT HERE TO DECIEVE PUPPY BUYERS!!!!!
