Kristin,
Just thought I would update you on Marquis. He is an AWESOME dog! I have never had a puppy so smart ever! He is playing fetch and sleeps in the bed every night with my son. He has never had an accident in the house not once.
Growing like a weed! He is so beautiful, I sure hope he stays that dark chocolate color. I still can't believe he is mine. I am so in love with this boy. He walks on a leash with me to check the mail every day and goes riding with me on the golf cart. I can barely lift him he is so heavy! Thank you again for giving me such an awesome dog!
Hi,
Wanted to update you on how much I have grown to love the girls! They are the BEST BABIES ever!!!! well okay Spicey is a little "spicey", but all in all, they are so good so smart so gentle so loving and careing, I wanted to sing you praises. Your choice of parents made perfection in a St. poodle. I'm not sending pics right now, you would be mortified to see your babies. You sent them to me so perfectly groomed. It's just so cold here!!! They have turned into quite the little snow bunnies now. They go out in it hopping and jumping and playing for an hour!!! I have to make the little ice balls come in and thaw out, because I'm afraid they will frostbite something. So, I am not sending pics until spring. They are in full coat right now. All that's been cut off is a little around the corner of their eyes. They are happy girls. We are happy with them.

Martha

I think we are ALL in love with her!
Her name is Coco. (I found this out when I got home.) I'd sent a picture of her to Elizabeth's phone. Liz had seen the pups on the web as well. I've explained that she will not be brown when she grows up, but that doesn't seem to matter. She fetched a puppy bumper in the back yard today and seemed to have a lot of fun. It is all about play right now. Paul has even said that "she's pretty cute." which is actually an extreme compliment coming from him. In one day this puppy has taught him that a dog doesn't have to be hyper to be allert...pretty cool stuff.
I'm sure that you've heard this before but poodles are unbelievably smart. Coco already knows her name, here, and sit. I've taught sit using the food bowl held over the nose method. Well little smarty pants figured it out so fast that she sits when she hears the food pouring into her bowl. Paul and Liz took her to the training pond the other day and she played around at the edge of the water and she came back a happy muddy mess. She loves to be outside. So,she may end up being an inside-outside dog. I'm taking her to the vet for a quick puppy check and to get her shot record on file.
Take care,
Jama
Dear kristin Sorry it took so long to send pics. First I lost the camera, then I have had a time getting e-mail to take the file. Let me know if you don't get them.Taz is a joy! He has a mind of his own, trying to anticipate what command is next. He is losing his puppy rolly-polly. The Vet wants to know how much his parents weigh to gage his growth rate as he is "a sturdy puppy"? He is in a PetSmart puppy class and as big as the golden retriever pup who is a month older. I am having trouble getting him in the the AKC classes for conformation and obedience. They seem to be full before sign-up starts. It's good the classes are small, but that doesn't leave room for new comers. I had him clipped by a groomer who has shown poodles for 15yrs. She said reds will not win unless the judge really likes them, and the handler. She is supportive but after showing reds for some yrs. has stopped. Taz & I are going for it anyway as long as it's fun. I haven't received the UKC reg. papers yet? Maybe they like reds better. The pics. had to be put in two attachments,so look for both. The little girl is my grandkid who was severley bitten by my aierdale that had to be put down. Taz is really helping her get over her fears of dogs. Well I hope to hear from you soon. I want to hear all your brags & wins, how the other puppies are doing ,how you & yours are doing etc.God Bless and Keep all of You,Sue
Hello Kristin!I wanted to send you an update on Tucker, he is doing GREAT!He tested yesterday for obedience and passed with flying colors. He willbe tested again onNovember 7th by Therapy Dogs International, if he passes that, we willbegin volunteering with Midland RapeCrisis Center. He is such a great dog! I am considering adding to the family if I canconvince my husband!

Kristen,Was going to send photos, but I'm still waiting for them. Just thought I'd let you know Spotts and Sophie are doing fine. They're going in to be re-plumbed the 16th. The vet suggested doing them both at the same time - there'll only be one recovery period to deal with. Makes sense to me. Spotts is weighing in at 30+ pounds, Sophie at just over 20. He is as pompous and staid as an old butler; she's a red-headed hoyden. She's an unabashed flirt, he waits for the dust to subside and moves in for his pets, scratches and hugs. The groomer says he's a dream to work with. She, on the other hand, thinks it's play time. She's getting better (they go once an month) but still hasn't gotten to the point where she'd tolerate something like nail polish. We've managed puppy school and are now working on the intermediate class. They get the commands quickly, but repetition's like pulling teeth - some times they can be very German. Like twins they communicate between themselves and could care less about the outside world. Even though it's more of a challenge than I anticipated, I am glad I took on the two at once. They entertain each other and with their mock battles and games of chase keep each other in good physical shape. They get more exercise than I could ever elicit on my own. Thanks again,Marilyn
Hi Kristin,
I just thought I'd drop you a line to let you know one of your past puppies is doing great and loving life out here on the west coast with his family.
We have one of Dixie and Tuckers past pups....I think you nicknamed him Trey.....We call him Kye now. He is the most amazing and exceptional dog! He has a super laid back easy going personality and loves to just hang out with our family no matter what we are doing. He's game for any adventure or just being a couch potato on a rainy Sunday. He was super easy to train and is the most gentle dog with people, children and other animals.
I've attached a picture of him but it's not a great picture. He looks so gorgeous right after we take him to the groomers but he doesn't stay that way for long. We hike in the mountains a lot with him and he loves to play in the dirt and run through the puddles. Also, the beach is only a 10 minute walk from our house and if we don't go hiking we walk on the beach and he gets covered in sand.....he loves to chase the birds and run thru the waves......anyway we don't care....we love him clean or scruffy! lol.....Thank you so much for breeding such an exceptional dog!
I'm also curious if you are still breeding parti poodles as I'd love to add another parti poodle to our family.....do you have any girls?? Please let me know,k?
Kind Regards,
